2. What does "in Vessel" and "in house" processes mean?

The process of transferring or moving raw materials is by conveyor systems and piping. These In Vessel and In House conveyors are not open air or manual. Likewise, the final drying quality control and packaging are done "in House", not open air. A Programmable Logic Computer (PLC) is installed to control the processes.

3. What is Rapid Sterilization and Vacuum Drying?

The organic waste sterilizer has two sections; the first section is a self steaming process wherein water will be introduced through misters coupled with heat from the secondary thermal oxidizer to create steam that will sanitize the organic waste rapidly. This preserves the nutrient value of the organic waste. The second section will sanitize organic waste that will be conveyed to the drying section. The fumes from the first and second sections, through negative pressure, will be sucked out to the primary thermal oxidizer and heated at 1400o to destroy all pathogens and bacteria. Hot air will be processed and cooled down to ambient temperature before the air exits into the atmosphere as clean air. This process takes 2 to 3 hours.

6. What does one module contain?

For a Municipal waste recycling facility it includes all the necessary machines and equipment for the three phases;

  • Phase I - Sorting and separation of municipal waste.
  • Phase II - extraction of methane gas, production of natural gas, generation of electric power, organic waste sterilizer and drying.
  • Phase III - “In house” curing, quality control, packaging and all the necessary anti-pollution devices.

    *For organic waste recycling only phases II & III will be used.

7. What types of organic waste can the plant process?

Organic waste such as food, market, agricultural, yard, raw or dewatered sewer, excess animal and fish organs, and blood. Simply put, anything that decomposes, rots, or creates odor and pollution. *WES Technology can also be adapted to process waste for the meat packing and fish packing industries.
